How it works

A short, structured sign-up - no spreadsheets, no back-and-forth emails. The whole process takes a couple of minutes.

Step 1

Browse the timetable

Open the registration page and read the week at a glance - every open tutorial group, by day and time slot, for the period.

Step 2

Select your groups

Pick the group(s) you want. Time clashes between your choices are flagged instantly so you don't double-book yourself.

Step 3

Confirm

Add your details and submit. The group locks to you immediately. If two people pick the same group at once, only the first is confirmed.

What tutoring involves

A clear, regular commitment for one teaching period. Here's what to expect before you claim a group.

A weekly rhythm

Your group meets on two fixed half-days each week (the MSP slot system), for one period. Tutorial sessions are about 1.5 hours.

Lead a tutorial group

You guide a small problem-based learning group and take attendance each session through Canvas.

You choose what fits

Claim the specific group(s) and times that suit you. Clashes between your picks are flagged, so you never double-book.

Who can tutor?

Tutoring positions are open to eligible PhD candidates, MSP alumni and staff. If you have been invited by the MSP office, you are in the right place. If you are unsure whether you are eligible, email the office before registering.
